Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SubRank ("the Service"), operated at subrank.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SubRank is a SaaS platform that analyzes video subtitle files (SRT/VTT) for SEO optimization. The Service provides keyword analysis, SEO scoring, AI-generated recommendations, and derivative content (articles, HTML pages, YouTube descriptions).

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Plans and Billing

Free Plan

The free plan includes up to 3 analyses per month with limited features. No payment information is required.

Paid Plans (Pro & Agency)

• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Polar.
• Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You can cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@subrank.io.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

Usage Limits

Each plan has monthly analysis limits. Unused analyses do not roll over to the next billing period. Usage resets at the start of each billing cycle.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
• Create multiple free accounts to circumvent usage limits
• Upload files containing malware or malicious code

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Content Ownership

Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the subtitle files you upload and the keywords you provide. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of providing the Service.

Generated Content

Content generated by the Service (articles, HTML pages, YouTube descriptions, chapters) is provided to you for your use. You are responsible for reviewing and editing generated content before publication. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies.

Our Content

The Service, its design, features, and underlying technology are owned by SubRank and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy or reproduce any part of the Service.

7. AI Disclaimer

The Service uses AI (powered by Anthropic) for semantic analysis and content generation. AI outputs are provided "as-is" and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or biases. You should:

• Review all AI-generated content before publishing
• Not rely solely on AI-generated SEO scores for business decisions
• Edit and personalize generated content (look for [PERSONALIZE] markers)
• Not upload sensitive, confidential, or personal data in subtitle files

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
• We are not responsible for SEO results, search rankings, or business outcomes based on the Service's recommendations.
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service interruptions.

10. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@subrank.io.
• We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms, non-payment, or at our discretion with reasonable notice.
• Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice in the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Paris, France.
